Who would work for 23 cents an hour? That's the question being asked on
the tags of a new line of clothing being designed by a group of providence
artists. on a new line of t-shirts, sweatshirts and hats is made without
sweatshop labor. The clothes are created and marketed by a Providence

Taricani Sentenced to Home Confinement

The Providence television reporter who was convicted of contempt last
month for defying a court order to reveal a source has been sentenced
to six months of house arrest. WRNI's Matha Bebinger reports. (WRNI)
Taricani Found Guilty
(2004-11-19) A federal judge has found Providence TV reporter Jim Taricani
guilty of contempt of court for refusing to reveal the source of an FBI
videotape obtained by the reporter. Taricani faces up to 6 months in jail
with sentencing scheduled for December 9. WRNI's Jeremy Hobson reports.

Oskar Eustis Leaves Trinity for NYC

Home Movies Mixes Personal Stories with Multimedia Theater

A new performance work by Everett Dance Theater is playing at the Carriage
House stage in Providence. Called home movies, the work mixes dance, theater
and song with film and video images. The five performers in the piece
each tell personal stories from there own family experience. WRNI's Jim
Moses visited a rehearsal and spoke with the company.
Rhode Islander's Same Sex Marriage
WRNI (May 21, 2004). With same sex marriage now legal in Massachusetts,
gay and lesbian couples from all over the country are coming to the state
to be legally married. WRNI's Mark Degon reports on the wedding of two
woman from Rhode Island that took place yesterday in Worchester.
