Blue Cross Admits to Paying Legislators The largest health insurer in Rhode Island is now acknowledging that it once made payments to some state lawmakers to influence their votes. Blue Cross and Blue Shield will not face criminal prosecution. Under a deal finalized yesterday with federal prosecutors, it will co-operate in an ongoing probe of general assembly corruption and make a payment of 20-million dollars. WRNI's Mark Degon reports.
