"Buddy" Movie Opens in Rhode Island

"Buddy", a documentary film about the career of former Providence mayor Buddy Cianci, opens today in two Rhode Island theaters with showings scheduled in the next few weeks in Massachusetts and Connecticut. The director of the film is Cherry Arnold. She says the former mayor's popularity, in spite of the many allegations against him, make Cianci a fascinating film subject. She spoke with WRNI Morning Edition host Bob Seay about Cianci's popularity in spite of the many allegations against him.

"Buddy" opens today at the Providence Place mall and the Showcase Cinema in Warwick.
