R.I. Historical Society Maps Their Future
The Rhode Island Historical Society this week held a public forum to discuss
their new strategic plan. The society's new management says that they
are in financial trouble and need to clarify their mission. In particular,
they are concerned about increasing their endowment and are considering
selling some of the roughly 30 thousands objects they own to raise funds.
