Day Care Workers
Host Deborah Becker reports on the fight over allowing some state day
care workers to unionize. Governer Carcieri has filed a motion requesting
a stay of the state Labor Relations Board's vote that said the day care
providers are state workers and can unionize.
Minor League Baseball and Steroids
Major League Baseball management wants to have a drug testing program
in the majors like the program in the minor leagues. We talk with Major
League Baseball's Executive Vice President of Labor Relations Rob Manfred,
about why the programs are different.
Axis of Hope
Some Providence High School students have crafted a plan for Middle East
peace. About 60 students at Moses Brown High School spent last weekend
hammering out the details of a peace accord for the Israeli-Palestinian
conflict. We talk with conference organizer, and founder of Axis
of Hope, Carl Hobert, and students Meredith Achey and Willis Monroe.
