Non-profit Salaries
In the wake of controversy over executive salaries and bonuses at the
non-profit Blue Cross and Blue Sheild of Rhode Island, we look at how
Blue Cross compares to non profit companies nation wide. We talk with
Stacy Palmer, editor of the "Chronicle of Philanthropy - the Newspaper
for the Nonprofit World", in Washington DC.
Fleet Merger
This week, shareholders approved the sale of Fleet Boston to Bank of America
the Rhode Island. Reports this week say thousands of jobs may be lost
after this latest consolidation which would create one of the biggest
banking companies in the world. To talk about this, we consult two people
who have been paying close attention to the deal - Rhode Island state
representative Peter Kilmartin and Gerard Cassidy, an analyst at the investment
bank 'RCB Capital Markets' in New York.
Woman Walking Tour
The Rhode Island Historical Society will tell some women's stories by
conducting a walking tour through the streets of providence. We talk with
historian Jane Lancaster, who developed the tour, and Barbara Barnes,
the manager of the society's walking tour program.

Memorial art show, which showcases art by disabled artists.
Petra
We speak with Brown
University professor Martha Joukowski, who has spent the last decade
unearthing the Great Temple of Petra in southern Jordan. These artifacts
are currently on display at the American Museum of Natural History in
New York City.
