Deborah Becker, Host
Deborah Becker brings a broad range of radio news experience to
her role as host of Fous Rhode island. Before joining WRNI in April
1998, Ms. Becker was a free-lance reporter, producer and writer
at WBUR Radio and WBZ Radio, Boston. For two years, she was a morning
newscaster at Monitor Radio, Boston.
Ms. Becker began her career as an intern at WETA-TV, Washington
D.C., The Women's Institute for Freedom of the Press, and WKBW-TV,
Buffalo, New York. Since then, she has had various reporting, anchor,
and assignment editor positions at WXLO-FM and WORC-AM, Worcester,
and at WEEI-AM, Boston. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass
Communication from St. Bonaventure University in St. Bonaventure,
New York.

| Jim Moses, Executive Producer
Senior producer Jim Moses has been an audio producer for over
20 years. He has worked extensively in public radio documentary
and news programing, music production and theatrical sound design.
Jim's career in public radio began with WBUR, Boston in 1985 where
he was a news and music producer and engineer. From 1989-2000 he
was technical director and instructor in music technology for the
Princeton University Department of Music. Jim's freelance credits
include work for National Public Radio, Music Masters/BMI, CRI (Composer's
Recordings Inc), The Opera Festival of New Jersey, UNESCO, Princeton
University Department of Theater and Dance, and Monitor Radio.
Mark Degon, Executive Producer of WRNI News
WRNI Executive Producer Mark Degon has spent the past 17 years working as a news editor, producer and reporter
for various television and radio stations in New England. Mark was one of the three original employees of WRNI,
when it went on the air May 1, 1998. Prior to that, he had been the Senior News Producer for WRNI parent station
WBUR in Boston. He began his broadcast journalism career as an editorial assistant for WBUR in 1982. He worked
for WEEI and WHDH radio in Boston, as well as for WCVB and WLVI television in Boston before returning to WBUR
in 1994. Mark has also worked as a freelance producer or reporter for National Public Radio, CBS, Fox, and A&E.
