Newport's health care workers are feeling the effects of tough economic times. For some time, we've been hearing that nurses are in short supply in the United States, and Rhode Island is no exception. But the recession has changed that. Many hospitals in the region have either cut their staffs or dramatically slowed down their hiring, making it more difficult for new nurses to find jobs. WRNI education reporter Elisabeth Harrison caught up with some nursing students in Newport, who face an uncertain future.
