Top Mod candidate isn't Hazen White or Kehew

The complicated dynamic in Rhode Island's 2010 governor's race -- with Democratic, Republican, independent, and Moderate candidates -- makes more significant the matter of just who's running for the Mods. Under the right circumstances, the Mod candidate might draw from some combination of the other entrants in the race.

Just who the Mods' gubernatorial candidate will be remains a subject of local speculation. The party, which declined comment for this post, hopes to keep the wraps on the choice until a series of candidates are unveiled on February 21.

But we can tell you that at least two figures of speculation are not the Mod candidate-in-waiting.

-- Former Middletown  Republican Town Council member Mike Kehew tells WRNI that he is not the Mod's gov candidate.

-- And businessman John Hazen White Jr., whose family has a history of civic involvement, is not the candidate, either, WRNI has learned. (Hazen White could not be reached for comment today.)

One wag notes that in Rhode Island, with a population of about one million people, it's only a matter of time until process of elimination identifies the actual candidate. Could it be Mod Party founder Ken Block

Stay tuned . . .

RI Governor Candidate

Todd Giroux, Independent Candidate for Governor. www.rigovernor2010.com

Economic Development Policy to be in line with.. “ The 90% of small business to restart the local economy "
Credit cash flow must be made available to small business even as property asset value and credit scores fall. Ten years attempts to bring bio-tech without a technology corridor or retraining has failed the 90% of small brick-mortar & service businesses. Housing values will return based upon demand when the toxic assets are set aside for troubled homeowners to rebuld their lives through foreclosure protection without bankruptcy.

The True Independent Candidate on behalf of the citizen, Giroux can broker the deals that turn unemployment dollars, stimulus dollars, and pension dollars into middleclass, mainstreet accessable working green jobs, and homestead protection on a statewide level for the people who made those dollars.
